The Berserk Postal Clerks

The Berserk Postal Clerks, often reffered to as the BPC, were a local South Jersey (Mullica Hill to be exact) Ska band. Although never hitting it to the "big time" they are considered by all who knew them as true legends in ska. They have released 3 CDs the first of which was self titled, followed by "We Suck" and their newest album, released soon before the break up "Record (ri-'kord)". Some of their more notable songs include "Oblivion", "Killer of Amor", "Mind's Eye", Skank to This" and they best song by far, "Remembering You". Many rumors have been buzzing since their break up as to a reunion show but nothing has been confirmed. Rumors say that one member has become a brodway actor, others have become recording studio owners, some stories even tell of some members working behind the scenes for other bands that have been more successful than themselves. Having played with other local SJ legends such as Fit To Fail and The Mall Punx, they have quite a reputation in the small town of Mullica Hill. And their legend still lives on in not only the hearts of many but in the local SJ ska scene where their song "Remembering You" is still being played by good freinds of the band. The Bennies

The band originally formed in 2009 under the name Madonna. Under this name, the band released a self-titled collection of demo recordings on CD in 2010 before changing their name to The Bennies the following year due to legal issues concerning the use of the name. Under their new name, The Bennies would release their debut album Party Party Party! on September 3, 2011 via Jackknife Music. In 2012, the band underwent their first line-up change after guitarist Steve Lavery departed from the band and was replaced by Christos "Souv" Salaoras. Following a tour of Japan later that year, Salaoras would also leave The Bennies. His replacement was Jules Rozenbergs, who had previously played in Melbourne punk bands Kimbo and The Gun Runners. This line-up would remain in-tact for the next six years, with their first release being 2013's Better Off Dread EP on April 20, 2013. This was followed by Rainbows in Space, the band's second studio album, which was released in November. It marked the band's first release with Poison City Records, who would put out every Bennies release until 2017.

In 2014, the band released their second EP, "Heavy Disco." To promote the release, the band appeared on triple j's Like a Version segment in February 2015. The band performed a stripped-back version of "Heavy Disco," as well as a cover of TISM's "(He'll Never Be An) Ol' Man River." During the performance, the band all wore beanies of The Smith Street Band, pulled over their faces with holes cut out to match up with their eyes and mouths. This was done both as a tribute to TISM's masked appearance as well as a nod to The Smith Street Band, who had referenced The Bennies in their own Like a Version months prior, changing the lyrics of Courtney Barnett's "History Eraser" from "In the taxi home/I'll sing you a Triffids song" to "I'll sing you a Bennies song." Damian Cowell, who was a member of TISM, gave his approval of the cover to the band and performed the song with them live in 2016. The Bennies themselves would later contribute to Cowell's second studio album as Damian Cowell's Disco Machine, 2017's Get Yer Dag On!, featuring on the song "365 Lemmys."

In 2015, a new single titled "Party Machine" was released. The song ended up being their most successful single to date, and was voted into the Triple J Hottest 100 of 2015 at number 88. The song was the lead single from their third studio album, Wisdom Machine, which was released on March 25, 2016.The album spawned a further three singles – "Legalise (But Don't Tax)," "Detroit Rock Ciggies" and "Corruption" – with music videos being made for the latter two.

The band released a single, "Get High Like an Angel," in late 2017, and toured Australia in support of it. It would serve as the opening track on The Bennies' fourth studio album, Natural Born Chillers. The album was released on February 2, 2018 and was the band's first release through Pool House Records. In March 2018, it was announced that bassist, vocalist and founding member Craig Selak would be departing from the band following two remaining festival shows.His replacement was Nick Williams, who the band had met years prior from touring with Williams' band Foxtrot. Selak would go on to form LOSER, alongside former Apart From This frontman Tim Maxwell and former Smith Street Band drummer Chris Cowburn.

The band would continue to tour in support of Natural Born Chillers throughout 2018, releasing music videos for "Dreamkillers" and "Trip Report." In January 2019, the band announced that longtime friend Graham Leach – AKA DJ Snes Mega – would be joining the band on a permanent basis. The band's first release as a quintet was a single, "Waiting for Dave," which was released on January 11, 2019.

D.I.Y Dub Punk band, started in Manchester 07. 5 piece band with political agenda. For listeners of bands like aos3, P.A.I.N, inner terrestrials, headjam, king tubby, zounds.

A lot of the band's lyrics and actions are political. They often play benefit gigs to raise money or awareness for good issues such as anarchism, animal rights, veganism, human rights, anti-war, anti-racism, anti-facism and the environment.

In the summer of 2009 they released their long awaited 9 track debut album 'No Man's Land' on Pumpkin Records in the UK and Antikörper-Export in Germany. The sleeve is a single double-sided sheet of paper that folds around the CD while the cover is hand stitched fabric. They did this because they do not wish to add to the amount of plastic already in the world.

The Arrogant Sons Of Bitches

The Arrogant Sons of Bitches (ASOB for short) were a 6 piece ska punk band from Long Island, NY. In 1995, Joe Werfleman and Jeff Rosenstock thought it would be a good idea to start a band to try and pick up girls and, as Rosenstock said, “we followed through on that, unlike many of us following through on education.” He went on to say that the goal of the band “is to make music real people can relate to and possibly learn from mistakes that we make…and to prove that ska music doesn’t suck, it just needs a kick in the ass.” During their energetic live shows, ASOB always made it a point to get the crowd involved, whether it consisted of nine or nine-hundred people. Their mixture of chaos, humor and catchy sing-alongs has made their live performances equally loved by fans and critics.

Here we go again friends! For nearly ten years now The Baboonz are on the German and European SKA-scene rocking bars and clubs, small and big stages leaving behind glowing and enthusiastic audiences. Three years after releasing „Too much is not enough“ the eight guys from Regensburg and Dietersburg, Bavaria, Germany, are now back with their brandnew, third full-length album „Progress!?“ due to be released in october 2008 on Black Butcher Records.

They ask both the world in general and themselves, if there is any progress. Concerning the world it can be denied. There..s still too much going wrong, still too much aggression and intolerance, too much greed and recklessness. Concerning The Baboonz it is a progress. Without ignoring their roots and remaining true to themselves, they have improved in every way: more powerful, more catchy, more emotion and more style. As a result there are 13 awesome songs somewhere between Ska and Reggae, Punkrock and Rock’n’Roll, Jazz and Soul, heaven and hell, simple and elegant, love and hate. Though not performing a single punkrock-song on this album, the Baboonz are still a Punkrock-band playing SKA not fitting any scheme and not minding any conventions or rules. They find their own way through all the years and all the different styles of wonderful music generating their unique Ska-Baboonz-Style.

The Baboonz don’t need a name (like monster-reggae-latin-ska-street-salsa-core) for what they do, they just do it. The Baboonz don..t need uniforms, make-ups or any kind of accessories to be who they are. The Baboonz maybe don’t even care about perfect english. The main thing is you get their message that we all could live in a wonderful world full of joy, fun, sex, drugs and rock’n’roll. But too much human scum is still ploughing its way through society, which should be fought everyday and everywhere by everyone standing tall and strong with power and might. But don’t let these bastards drag you down and don’t let them fill you with bitterness. Keep your heads up high and have fun enjoying the good sides of life. Keep on rocking, fighting and moving and let The Baboonz be your guiding soundtrack.


THE BABOONZ have played more than 200 shows in Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Italy, Denmark, Hungary and Switzerland. Since 2002, THE BANDGEEK MAFIA redefines the world of ska-punk music in their own way. The debut Paint Your Target impressed fans and media, due to its mix of ska-off beats, melancholic melodies blended with aggressive shouts and screams and stomping rhythms. Hooklines combined with mosh parts are the unique! They cleverly combine sticking
melodies, powerful riffs, excellent brass and aggressive shouts and can in that way uplift themselves from a lot of bands coming from that genre. Though mixing ska music with emo elements seems to be capital sin for some guys, THE BANDGEEK MAFIA proves strikingly that such a fusion arrests one’s attention and intoxicates.
